Cruiserweight

with one comment

The title to this post is my goal weight range: cruiserweight – from 176 through 200 lbs.

At the beginning of September 2011, I was solidly in heavyweight territory, up above 220. My “shenanigans” of that month first inflated me up well into the high 200s, then dropped me like a stone down in the 180s, mid-cruiserweight. During early rehab, resuming my eating faster than I had strength and agility for resuming my exercising gradually took me back up toward that 200-lb heavyweight threshold.

Over the Christmas holidays and through January 2012, I worked on better eating habits and focused more energy toward increasing my exercise level, easing my weight back toward the low 190s. I’m not sure exactly what blew that up, but during February through late March’s seizure, I steadily moved back into heavyweight territory, peaking above 210. Renewimg my attention on breaking bad eating habits and re-making good exercise habits reversed that most recent rise, now bringing me back within range of revisiting my target cruiserweight zone.

With my ultimate goal being to settle in the next class down – light heavyweight, 168-175 – which is where my doctors a decade or so ago had recommended my ideal weight level as being.

  1. Despite the resolution expressed in this blog post, it was not until June 12 that I finally first re-entered cruiserweight territory.
