Not Quite That Foolish

Heading back up to the treadmill.

macheïde at twitter

That finally came through twitter about 11:30pm. Now as we all know, I am pretty much a noodlenoggin, but No! I am not quite that stupid, to be heading back on up to the treadmill just before midnight with a blister the size of Texas on my sole.

No, but I am becoming increasingly disenchanted with twitter. Charming, how the service can be used for intriguingly diverse ways to interact with others. But identify the core function twitter is supposed to provide, then identify the key aspects of that core function, then quickly it becomes clear that it just isn’t happening at twitter. Maybe eventually it will, but potential users usually won’t keep checking back in to find out. If twitter can’t keep their servers operating smoothly for more than a day or two without a major interruption, they may as well resign themselves to the mediocre blah existence of sites like ADASTWjournal (aka LiveJournal), perhaps just barely widely enough known to have its share of traffic, but never really capturing or controlling its own corner of the Internet market.

Blistering Pace?

blistering pace?

Yes, I’m out of shape and I haven’t exercised regularly for years. Yes, I weigh nearly as much as I ever have, well above even what I used to consider the optimistically high target my dietician wanted me to work up toward. And yes, once I do finally get my sad ass back up on the treadmill, I am obsessive enough to want to reverse all of that overnight.

OK, but this is a picture of a noodlenoggin.

Pension Funding Domestic vs Foreign

pension funding domestic vs foreign

In the aggregate, the funded ratio for domestic pension plans plans (purple) exceeds the funded ratio for foreign pension plans (green). Accordingly, the aggregate U.S. funded ratio would then of course exceed the aggregate funded ratio for all pension plans, combining both domestic and foreign plans, which as previously noted is the basis used by most studies of pension data disclosed on corporate financial statements.

70% More for Me!

Kitty takes it wherever he can get it!

I know the routine, Kitty. Everyone else out there seems to be losing weight left and right, while I’ve been finding everything they’ve lost and keeping it safe for them in case they ever want it back.
