Closing Out Another Month

Closing Out Another MonthAnd another cycle. End of the first month that the main provisions of PPA have been in effect.

On the hobby side of my professional interests, the first 2007 annual statement was filed this week by any S&P 500 company with a 12/31 fiscal year end. Although it was not a pension plan sponsor, it marks the beginning of the deluge. The next month will see me heavily preoccupied with that obsession, although I already know most of what I will be seeing.

Dawn’s Early Dark

Dawn's Early DarkI’ve done nothing with any software to darken that picture up. If anything, it looked even darker to the natural eye. Although it’s after 9 in the morning, usually of course quite bright looking up toward Houston at the very left edge of this shot or Reliant Stadium at the far right.

We had one huge thunderclap shortly after this pic was snapped, but little if any rain. Then a very brisk wind blew everything from the sky, making it a cloudless blue by the early afternoon.
